Spinal Manipulative Therapy.
What is NMT?
NMT
is a therapy directed at correcting informational errors in the body's "software" system. These "errors" contribute to any disease
state imaginable from allergies to pain and autoimmune disease.
NMT rapidly corrects these errors allowing for the body to free itself
of confusion. Autoimmune disease is based on such confusion causing
the patient's immune system to attack his/her own body tissues making
any patient with diseases such as Lupus, Arthritis, Polymyalgia, Eczema,
Asthma prime candidates for this therapy.
What is Prolotherapy?
Prolotherapy
is an injection technique consisting of dextrose and procaine contributing
to growth and repair of damaged ligaments and tendons. Chronic
back pain, dislocating joints or any degree of instability tend to be
good candidates for this treatment.
What is Neural Therapy?
Neural
therapy is an injection therapy directed at "rebooting" nervous
system function in any tissue. Scars, muscle tension points (called "trigger points") and reflex regions, acupuncture points all can
be targets of neural therapy. Procaine and homeopathic remedies
are injected to improve energy flow and nervous system communication
with target areas to restore normal function. Tension headaches,
painful scars and chronic muscle tension typically improve after few
treatments of this therapy.
How Does
Detoxification work?
Detoxification
work is a core treatment in Naturopathic philosophy. In today's
industrialized world no person is free of toxic exposure leaving them
open to increased risk of hormone related problems and eventually cancer
and heart disease. Through the use of homeopathic drainage remedies,
nutrition, and herbal medicine and long term strategy to reduce exposure
and remove various toxins is employed with most patients.
Naturopathic Diet Therapy
Diet
is a fundamental cause of almost all disease. Although diet alone
does not treat disease, it is absolutely vital to recovery of any chronic
condition. Dietary advice includes the use of supplements, emphasizing
organic whole food choices, avoiding fried or processed foods and food
allergy avoidance. Timing of what is eaten may also be changed
to maximize benefit of food choices.
Spinal Manipulative Therapy
Spinal
manipulation is done often by the chiropractic profession but many people
are unaware that this is also a core therapy performed by the naturopathic
profession. Structural stress can have a profound impact on physiology
making it important to address if we are going to affect disease states
in our patients.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture
is therapy used for thousands of years to balance "energy flow"
throughout the body. Research has now confirmed that acupuncture
has a profound effect on the release of "feel good molecules" called
endorphins. Conditions responding to acupuncture are too numerous
to list but often it is a vital therapy in stress management, addictions
and chronic pain.
Holistic
care of a patient requires flexibility with the tools we use to address
the patient where they need it most at the time of treatment.
Naturopathic care allows for this flexibility to allow for the best
clinical outcomes possible in the management of chronic disease.
